Summary

Metal-detecting between 2016 and 2025 recovered a post-medieval token and a number of other metal objects, including an Early Bronze Age flat axehead; a Roman brooch; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval gold brooch and post-medieval gold and silver finger rings); a medieval scabbard chape, harness fitting and thimble; a medieval/post-medieval coin weight and a post-medieval sword-belt fitting, hooked book fitting, copper alloy furniture tack, silver bosun's or boatswain's whistle, lead weight and lead cloth seal.

The post-medieval silver finger ring and silver whistle were both submitted for consideration as Treasure (Refs: 2021 T709 and 2021 T707 respectively). The finger ring was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure.

Post-medieval gold mourning ring dated 1689.

The medieval gold brooch and post-medieval gold finger ring were both submitted for consideration as Treasure (Refs: 2022 T962 and 2022 T961 respectively). The post-medieval gold finger ring was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure.
