Map

November 2016. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A probable Bronze Age round barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery from a survey flown in 2015 (S1). It forms part of possible barrow cemetery NHER 61509. It very likely still survives as an earthwork. Traces of a possible outer ditch are evident on its southeast side.
Despite the apparent prominence and clarity of the earthwork on the lidar imagery, this appears to be a new discovery. That said, the mound is only vaguely visible on Google Earth imagery from 2005 (S2) and 2006 (S3), despite the area having been clear felled. A former boundary, depicted on historical Ordnance Survey maps such as (S4), is visible abutting either side of the barrow, but has not been mapped.
