Summary

An area of possible ridge and furrow, probably of post medieval date, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery from a survey flown in 2015. The identification of the earthworks as ridge and furrow is not certain; they could instead relate to more modern activity, perhaps relating to forestry.

Map

January 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
An area of possible ridge and furrow, probably of post-medieval date, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery from a survey flown in 2015 (S1). The identification of the earthworks as ridge and furrow is not certain; they could instead relate to more modern activity, perhaps relating to forestry. The ridges appear to be wider, and less regular than other areas of ridge and furrow recorded by the project (for example, NHER 61521, 1.8 km to the south), and are almost entirely confined to a stand of broad-leaved trees.
