Full Description
February 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
The earthworks of a series of pits and mounds of uncertain date are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar (S1). At least some of the pits may represent Second World War weapons pits. The site also includes a number of sub-circular and angular mounds and short sections of bank but these were not mapped individually as it was felt that they may relate to modern land management practices within the plantation. However, it remains a possibility that they also relate to Second World War or earlier activity.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 24 February 2017.
