Summary

The slight earthworks of an undated and fragmented and/or segmented boundary bank, which appears to incorporate some mounds – at least one of which may have originated as a barrow (NHER 62097) – are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. The bank sits within a wider area of banks and boundaries (NHER 61991), however this appears to represent a much more disturbed and potentially earlier feature in the landscape.

Map

The slight earthworks of an undated and fragmented and/or segmented boundary bank, which appears to incorporate some mounds – at least one of which may have originated as a barrow (NHER 62097) – are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data (S1). This boundary is located within a wider area of boundary banks (NHER 61991) and barrows (NHER 61484).

The sections of the banks are broad in width (up to 18m) quite fragmentary and some have a ‘mound’ like appearance – although one (NHER 62097) has been recorded as possibly having originated as a mound and/or barrow. The bank sits within a wider area of banks and boundaries (NHER 61991), however this appears to represent a much more disturbed and potentially earlier feature in the landscape.
