Summary

Fieldwalking at this location between 2017 and 2019 recovered a large and diverse assemblage of prehistoric worked flints, comprising a Lower Palaeolithic scraper; Upper Palaeolithic blades; Early Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowheads, scrapers and blades; a Neolithic flaked axehead or chisel and polished axehead fragment; Neolithic/Bronze Age scrapers, cores, flakes and an unusual retouched flake implement; a Late Neolithic oblique arrowhead; a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age oblique arrowhead, sickle fragment and fabricator and Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads and plano-convex knives.

1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age sickle fragment and 1 fabricator (used for striking iron pyrite to light fires).
3 Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowheads and 1 plano-convex knife.
