Full Description
Before 2008. Stray Find.
Post-medieval piece of suede clothing, riding whip, piece of wood with some rope attached, horn fragment, horseshoe, pail handle, hinge, metal disc, possible lamp and a small box of chimney lining.
All of these items were recovered from between a wall and the fireplace at Whitehouse Farm, The Street, Flordon and are interpreted as a 'protection bundle'.

The hinge is a 17th century "cocks-head" furniture hinge and the possible lamp is late 18th to 19th century in date. Identified by A. Rogerson (HES) and S. Ashley (HES), 5 June 2017.
