Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s recovered prehistoric flints and a large quantity of pottery fragments from various periods. Also discovered were post holes and a possible floor. These finds may indicate a building or settlement.

Cropmarks of pits and postholes previously recorded in this field (NHER 6954 contexts 2 and 3) were not observed during the NMP mapping. Cropmarks of a World War One practice trench are recorded as NHER 39030.
