Summary

A dispersed area of possible fragmentary earthworks of uncertain date and archaeological significance may be visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. The area of Cold Harbour Plantation has previously been highlighted as the site of a possible medieval settlement at Caldecote (see NHER 5635) and it is therefore feasible that some of these relatively minor earthworks could relate to medieval settlement, although this is extremely uncertain. It is also feasible that some of them relate to the plantation itself or later activity in the area, such as Second World War training or forestry.
