Full Description
Unknown date. Stray Find.
Found at [1] by [2]:
1 prehistoric stone macehead (epidiorite). See copy of drawing (S1).
Information from Norwich Castle Museum records and notes on drawing. No description available.
Although stone maceheads appear to have been made from Mesolithic times onwards, the ovoid shape of this example and it cylindrical perforation suggest a later prehistoric date.
P. Watkins (HES), 3 August 2017.
