Full Description
One of a series of milestones along the Wells to Dersingham road, which never became a turnpike but was an important route linking the coastal ports and villages and it was used by mail coaches which ran from Cambridge to Ely, King's Lynn and Wells.
(S1) gives further information regarding this turnpike and the milestones located along it.
