October 1980. Building Survey.
No 13 examined as part of Norwich Survey.
Pair of two-storey cottages with attics. Illegible date stone on rear of either 1726 or 1762. Originally the block was narrower, probably one room deep plus small back lean-to. In 1822 (date in back wall) the lean-to was extended to provide a second room back from the street. The back stack belongs to this 19th-century extension. The original back wall was constructed in flint rubble. Inside only one original feature remains - the central timber running back from the street. The roof is mostly covered, but appears to be double butt purlin with an original dormer on the front. The present room arrangement is 19th century.
See record forms (S2) for further details, phased floor plan and copies of photograph.
