Summary

The pair of two-storey terraced houses that previously occupied this site were briefly examined in 1968, prior to their subsequent demolition as part of road improvement works. They had roughcast walls, slate roofs and front doors flanked by flattened columns. These properties most likely dated to the 19th century and had been built up against the remains of the city wall.

Surveys of Nos 98 and 100 Chapelfield Road, probably undertaken as part of work by University of East Anglia (UEA).
Two two-storey terraced houses with cement and roughcast wall and slate roofs, attached to end of brick terrace. Unlike the brick terraced houses they appear to have had no basements. Both front doors were flanked by flattened columns with modified Ionian capitals.
