Summary

Metal-detecting in 2018 and 2020 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint flake and scraper; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval floor tile fragment; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval lead heart-shaped possible token and a range of other, Late Iron Age/Roman, Roman, and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman toggle; a Roman incomplete cosmetic pestle and bracelet fragment; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval harness pendants, harness mount, Limoges-style figurine, strap end, buckle and book fitting; a medieval/post-medieval drape ring, book clasp, purse fragment, copper alloy vessel fragments, lead spindle whorls or weight and lead weight and post-medieval book fittings, spur fragments, a harness mount and lead cloth seals.
