Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a number of prehistoric flint scrapers and blades as well as medieval and post medieval pottery sherds and one Roman pottery sherd. A possible posthole was excavated but no finds were recovered. A possible World War One trench noted was not observed during the NMP mapping.

Context 1: Flint scrapers and blades. Medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. Roman sherd.
Context 2: Medieval pottery sherds. A possible posthole 5-6ft (1.5 to 1.8m) deep was excavated but no finds were recovered.

Context 6: 1914 to 1918 earthwork seen as cropmark by A. Lawson.
