Map

World's End Fort
A small fort labelled as 'World's End' is depicted on what is now Boal Quay on a map drawn in 1645 (S1) illustrating the new or projected defences at King's Lynn.
It is also one of the landmarks labelled in Bell's groundplan of King's Lynn (S2), which was compiled in the 1680's. However, the fort does not appear on Rastrick's 1725 map of King's Lynn (S3) and it is therefore likely that it had been demolished by this time.
