May-June 2012. Walkover Survey.
Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey of Holkham Estate woodland (Compartment 2d).
A large bulbous depression identified at TF 8814 4332 (Site 7) is the remains of a former extraction pit cut into the western slopes near the lake. It was possible associated with construction of the dam to the north.
