Full Description
November 2018. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A possible mound, perhaps a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S1). It could be part of what appears to be a large, dispersed, Bronze Age round barrow cemetery (NHER 62464). It lies, however, on the edge of what appears on the lidar to be an area of very uneven, ‘lumpy’ ground, and, like other nearby mounds (NHER 62474 and NHER 62475, for example), it could instead be of natural, perhaps periglacial, origin.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 29 November 2018.
