Map

January 2016. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
The five trenches excavated revealed a number of ditches and a single pit.
A north-north-east to south-south-west aligned ditch produced fragments of brick and rubber and was therefore probably of post-medieval or modern date. The pit also produced modern debris.
The two other ditches produced no dating evidence, although their north-west to south-east alignments suggest that they were probably associated with an earlier phase of activity.
No unstratifed finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
