Summary

A possible segment of undated bank is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey. If it is a real feature, it is similar to other banks mapped in the vicinity (for example, NHER 61542), and as for them, a medieval to post-medieval date seems likely. Given the recent date of the lidar survey, it is probable that the earthwork still survives.

Map

Part of a possible undated bank is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S1). If it is a real feature, it is similar to other banks mapped in the vicinity (for example, NHER 61542), and as for them, a medieval to post-medieval date seems likely. However, it is a relatively short segment, and aligned with the forestry plantings, so it could instead be a recent feature, of negligible archaeological interest. Given the recent date of the lidar survey, it is probable that the earthwork still survives.
