Full Description
January 2019. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A small circular enclosure, of unknown but possibly post-medieval date, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S1). The enclosure is defined by a low, intermittent bank and appears to have a raised area within it. It lies within Thetford Warren (NHER 54069) and may be associated with the management or trapping of rabbits. Other similar enclosures, both circular and rectilinear in form, have been mapped elsewhere across the warren. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthworks still survive.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 24 January 2019.
