Full Description
September 1976. Field Observation.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU).
Watermill. First mill on site built in 1620. Present mill 1844. Vaguely symmetrical facade over river looking east, with flat pilasters, central pediment, and great iron ties. White brick; remainder in red brick; tall section to south. Water arches renewed.

February 1979. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Late 18th/early 19th century. Yellow brick east side, red brick west side. Slate roof with gabled ends. Pedimented gable at centre with lunette. 3:2:3 bays, centre projects slightly, sashes with glazing bars, flat brick arches, some blind. Ground floor four round-headed doors, two at centre blocked, left hand passageway through. String course at first floor level.
On south end early 19th-century section: three storeys; two windows; yellow and red brick; hipped slated roof; paired eaves brackets; wide pilasters; sashes with glazing bars. Later 19th-century additions on north and west."
