Summary

Archaeological work at this site between 2008 and 2010 revealed little in the way of significant remain. Trial trenching in 2008 revealed an undated pit or natural hollow containing a black peat-like fill. A geophysical survey undertaken around the same time identified no anomalies of obvious archaeological signficance and a watching brief maintained during subsequent groundworks in 2009/2010 had similarly negative results. No finds were recovered.

September-November 2008. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection cable (Trenches 94 and 95).
The southernmost of the two trenches excavated at this location revealed a circular, shallow pit or natural shallow that contained a black, organic peat-like fill. Two similar features were exposed at the northern end of the field to the south (NHER 63426).
No finds recovered.

No archaeologically-significant features or deposits recorded and no finds recovered.
