Map

(S1) describes this as a pre-1830 house with only a casual connection to York Road. White-painted brick with slate roof and end gable stacks. Rear roof slope slopes further down than front as if over an outshut (but still 2-storeyed). North of this a two-storey later extension with decorative brick details on gable. Main house has casements on this side; one over one sashes in extension. The property is named on (S2) and (S3) indicates that in 1844 it is owned/occupied by William Cooper (ironmonger).
The name of the property is presumably derived from the river to the south-east which is marked as 'The Chase' on (S4), and nearby Chase Avenue is named 'Cooper's Chase'.
A. Cattermole (King's Lynn UAD), 19 June 2019.
