Map

(S1) describes this as dating from the 1930s. The building appears as an outline on the Ordnance Survey map surveyed in 1938 and published around 1944 (S2), suggesting it was in the process of being built in 1938. (S1) notes that the building retains some Crittall windows but that it is in a poor state of repair.
According to (S3) to the rear of this garage stood a large cafeteria which catered for visitors travelling to King's Lynn by coach from the Midlands. Photographs on (S3) suggest that this building and a further garage building were similar in date and style to the garage building still visible from Clenchwarton Road, but rendered and painted white. It is unclear from Google Earth whether or not these two additional buildings are still extant, but Ordnance Survey MasterMap suggests that they are.
