Map

(S1) describes this former chapel as of painted brick but brick tumbling visible in rear gable above later extension. Plaque on west side reads “Boundary 4 feet beyond this wall: the same at North End”. Frontage to SW: outlines of a former lancet window each side of entrance, now extended to ground level. Buttressed on
corners and between lancets and former entrance. The latter hidden by modern conservatory and entrance is now in righthand lancet. Side windows (two each side) segmental heads and tall; now filled with upvc
windows. This is likely to be part of methodist missionary developments in the North End. It was originally on Pilot Street before the cutting through of John Kenndy Road in 1963.
(S2) states that King’s Lynn North End Primitive Methodist chapel closed in 1932. The society amalgamated with Pilot Street.
(S3) notes that there is an 'old' Wesley chapel in North End, erected in 1862 and now (1907) in the hands of the Primitive Methodists. It seems likely that this is the building described by Hillen.
