Summary

A possible mound, perhaps the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a lidar survey. The earthwork is extremely low and poorly defined, and its archaeological significance is not certain. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2015), it is probable that the earthwork still survives. A second possible mound (NHER 63348) lies 45m to the southeast.

A possible mound, perhaps the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a lidar survey (S1). The earthwork is extremely low and poorly defined, and its archaeological significance is not certain. Like a second possible mound visible 45m to its southeast (NHER 63348), it could instead be a natural feature, similar to the ridges – perhaps periglacial features or dunes – visible on the lidar imagery to the west and northwest. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2015), it is probable that the earthwork still survives.
