Summary

Metal-detecting between 2019 and 2023 recovered a medieval roof tile; Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval jetton and a range of other, Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age sword fragment; a Roman cosmetic mortar and brooch; Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorls and lead weights; medieval buckles and a key fragment; a medieval/post-medieval thimble, copper alloy vessel fragment and lead spindle whorl and a post-medieval copper alloy weight, lead powder flask nozzle and lead probable palm guard.
