Summary

A circular mound, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on visualised lidar data. It may be the same feature as a previously recorded barrow or mound, NHER 15522, but lies more than 80m to the northeast. As with NHER 15522, it is possible that this mound was a pillow or clapper mound associated with a medieval and/or post medieval warren, instead of – or as well as – being a prehistoric barrow. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2015), it is probable that the mound still survives.

A circular mound, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on visualised lidar data (S1). It may be the same feature as a previously recorded barrow or mound, NHER 15522, but lies more than 80m to its northeast. It corresponds with a darker area on the Tithe Map (S2), but it is not clear whether this is actually meant to represent the mound or is a coincidence. As with NHER 15522, it is possible that this mound was a pillow or clapper mound associated with a medieval and/or post medieval warren, instead of – or as well as – being a prehistoric barrow.
