Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2019 and 2020 recovered 15 medieval silver pennies likely to represent a dispersed purse loss. The nature and condition of the coins suggests that they were probably lost at some point in the late 14th or early 15th century.

Found scattered over a relatively restricted area:
15 medieval coins (all silver long cross pennies) likely to represent a dispersed purse loss. These coins are mostly of Edward III and very heavily worn, suggesting they were lost at some point in the late 14th or early 15th century.
