Map

High House (also known as Brake Farm or Bedlam Barn) is said to have been constructed on the site of a barrow containing a Roman urn. This information is believed to be doubtful.
See (S1).
Probably from East Anglian, see Rye's List.
R.R. Clarke (NCM).

Not visited by A.J. Lawson for Barrow Survey.
E. Rose (NAU).

It is possible that the barrow believed to have been at this location is actually the ring ditch NHER 29827, located 500m to the east. If not, this at least confirms there were barrows in the vicinity.
E. Rose (NLA) 5 July 1993.

Another possible location for this barrow is NHER 36394, immediately north of this site. However, this cropmark is quite large and may be a circular enclosure rather than a round barrow.
M. Horlock (NLA), 24 June 2003.
