Full Description
(S1) reports that there was a ropewalk which ran from the Old Guanock Gate towards All Saints' Street, then up to the bank of the River Nar. This is thought to have been a communal ropewalk. It is marked on a schematic map showing King's Lynn in the mid-16th century (S2). (S1) suggests that raw materials may have been delivered to this site via public wharfs off the River Nar.
This may relate to the building recorded under NHER 48949.
See (S1) for further information.
