Watermill.
Currently known as Grint Mill, this watermill was called Le Gyrnmill in 1454 [1], and 'Bintry Paper Mill' on (S1), 1797.
E. Rose (NAU), 17 July 1980.

January 1981. Field Observation.
An L-shaped red brick building of about 1800 that has been extended in recent times. There are two sluices under the old section with considerable force of water, and a third sluice under the new section. The interior is derelict and too dangerous to inspect. A brick weir from a pool to the west is now ruinous. A sluice allows some water out here to a leat which seems to have been the original river course.
E. Rose (NAU), 22 January 1981.

The building was renovated for housing in the 1990s.
Architectural plans (S2) and press cuttings (S3) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 12 January 2007.
