Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2019 and 2020 recovered a dispersed Roman coin hoard comprising 14 nummi of the House of Constantine (all of which date to the period AD 330-335).

Found within small area:
Roman coin hoard comprising 14 copper alloy nummi of the House of Constantine.
These coins all date to the period AD 330-335 and therefore clearly represent a dispersed hoard or purse loss. Loss or deposition will have occurred not long after as these coin types were demonetised in AD 348.
Information from PAS import.
This coin hoard was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2020 T919) and returned to the finder.
