Full Description
January-September 2017. Metal-detecting.
Roman coin hoard of 4 coins. These coins are all base silver radiates of the AD 250s struck in the names of Valerian I and his family. Radiates of this period are unusual as stray finds so these almost certainly represent a small hoard or purse loss.
Information from PAS import.
This coin hoard was submitted for consideration as Treasure (Ref: 2023 T915).
P. Watkins (HES), 14 March 2024.
