Summary

A probable post-medieval drainage ditch was identified (probably as an earthwork) on aerial photographs. It appears to coincide with a drainage ditch depicted on the Tithe Map. On more recent aerial imagery, it appears that the ditch may have been at least partially levelled.

Map

April 2020. National Mapping Programme (NMP) Data Clean-Up.
This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Norfolk Coastal Zone NMP project, but not recorded. This record was written more than 10 years later, without access to the original sources, and therefore the information that can be included is limited, and the interpretation is more tentative than it might be otherwise.
An undated ditch was identified on aerial photographs. The form of the site and the specific photographs used to map it are not known, but it is visible as an earthwork on mid 1940s aerial photographs viewable online (S1). It appears to correspond to a drainage ditch depicted on the Tithe Map (S2). On more recent imagery (Google Earth), it appears to have been at least partially levelled.
