Map

This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Norfolk Coastal Zone NMP project, but not recorded. This record was written more than 10 years later, without access to the original sources, and therefore the information that can be included is limited, and the interpretation is more tentative than it might be otherwise.
A group of undated linear banks and ditches, all following a broadly similar alignment, were identified on aerial photographs. The form of the remains (earthwork or cropmark), their function and their present condition are not known. It is also not known which aerial photographs they were visible on. It is possible that they correspond with linear marks (probably cropmarks but possibly low earthworks) visible in this area on recent Google Earth aerial photographs not available at the time of the original survey (S1, for example). It is feasible that at least some of these marks could represent former post medieval field boundaries.
