Summary

An undated, oval enclosure, defined by a narrow bank, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs. The date and function of the enclosure are not known; its general appearance and location suggest that it may be of late post medieval or modern date, and probably related to agriculture. The current condition of the site is also not known.

This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Norfolk Coastal Zone NMP project, but not recorded. This record was written more than 10 years later, without access to the original sources, and therefore the information that can be included is limited, and the interpretation is more tentative than it might be otherwise.
An undated, oval enclosure, defined by a narrow bank, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs (S1). The date and function of the enclosure are not known; its general appearance and location suggest that it may be of late post medieval or modern date, and probably related to agriculture.
