Summary

A metal-detecting rally on this site in 2020 recovered no archaeologically-significant finds. Subsequent trial trenching in 2021 also had largely negative results, with only two undated ditches exposed.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
The seven trenches excavated revealed little in the way of archaeologically-significant remains, with features limited to two undated ditches. These shallow ditches were both exposed in a trench at the western edge of the site and were aligned north-west to south-east and east-north-east to west-south-west.
No unstratified finds were recovered.
