Full Description
August 2020. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A possible bank, road or track, of unknown date, is visible as a low, indistinct earthwork on visualised lidar data (S1). If it is a feature of archaeological significance, which is not certain, it is one of a number of banks, roads or tracks recorded on what was formerly Cranwich Heath. In general, a medieval to post medieval date seems probable for these features. At its west end, the bank or road/track appears to meet or join one of them, NHER 63259. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2015), it is likely that the earthwork still survives.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 7th August 2020.
