Work at this site disturbed a brick culvert located within the existing flood bank. This structure was associated with a channel that linked nearby ponds (NHER 23460) to the River Chet. The flood bank itself was constructed during the latter half of the 19th century and the culvert itself appears to be visible on a map of 1905.
