Summary

In 1968 a late 13th or 14th century parrot beak Saintonge ware jug was recovered from an area outside Welborne graveyard.

1968. Stray Find.
During grave digging on the south side of the exterior of Welborne graveyard. [1]. A almost complete late 13th/14th century parrot beak Saintonge polychrome jug was recovered, the handle of the jug was missing but it was possible for the rest of the jug to be reconstructed, which was decorated in birds and shields (NWHCM: 1969.29).
