Summary

A watching brief maintained during groundworks at this site in 2014 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. It should though be noted that the excavations were fairly limited in nature and generally didn’t penetrate beneath a thick subsoil deposit. A small number of Roman finds were recovered including pottery sherds and at least one tegula fragments. Sherds of Iron Age and post-medieval/modern pottery were also found.
