Full Description
September-October 2019. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Area 8).
This survey revealed no anomalies of obvious archaeological significance.
Although two linear anomalies were identified both clearly correspond with former field boundaries marked on the Wymondham tithe map of 1839 (S1).
A strong discrete area of ferrous disturbance coincides with a former pond visible on the Ordnance Survey Six-inch First Edition map (S2).
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
