Summary

A geophysical survey of this site undertaken in 2019 identified no responses of clear archaeological significance. The only anomalies of note correspond with a former field boundary and an infilled pond shown on 19th-century maps.

September-October 2019. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Area 12).
This survey revealed no anomalies of obvious archaeological significance.
A discrete area of magnetic disturbance at the northern edge of the field coincides with a former pond shown on the Hettersett tithe map of 1846 (S1).
A single north-to-south aligned linear anomaly crossing the centre of the site corresponds with a 19th-century former field boundary shown on the Ordnance Survey Six-inch First Edition map (S2).
