March 2012. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed quarry conveyor route (Trench 4-6).
No archaeologically-significant features or deposits were identified.
In the easternmost two trenches the natural deposits were overlain by a dark, peaty deposit that had presumably formed in wet conditions.
No finds were recovered.
