Full Description
July 2015. Desk-based Assessment.
Assessment of UEA playing fields ahead of various proposed works.
Based on the available HER data this study concluded that the area has a low to moderate potential for remains associated with Neolithic settlement activity.
The cartographic sources consulted suggest the site has been open arable land from at least the early 19th century onwards.
See report (S1).
P. Watkins (HES), 22 March 2021.
December 2018. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site of proposed car park extension.
The single trench excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
No finds were recovered.
See report (S2) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 22 March 2021.
