Summary

Iron spear railings on gault brick plinths and one surviving cage-type pier. These date to c. 1790 and are probably associated with Sir John Soane, who built Shotesham Park mansion itself (NHER 10114) in around 1785. Listed Grade II.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Railings and one gate pier. Circa 1790. Probably associated with Sir John Soane. Iron on gault brick plinth. Curved plan. Simple spear railings with occasional scrolled braces to rear. One surviving cage type pier with bars in lozenge pattern and pine cone finial."
