Summary

A watching brief maintained during the excavation of a narrow pipe trench in 2017 recorded no archaeologically significant features or deposits. Unstratified finds were limited to two prehistoric flint flakes.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with installation of water pipeline between Geldeston and Barsham (Suffolk).
The excavation of this section of the narrow pipe trench revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
As would be expected colluvial deposits were present beneath the topsoil.
Finds were limited to two prehistoric flint flakes.
