Summary

This early 19th-century flint and brick garden wall is topped by a cast iron plinth and coping with repeated winged floral finial. It is an example of the cast iron architectural detail produced by the early 19th-century Burnham Market foundry (NHER 55345). Further examples can be seen on the adjoining building to the west (NHER 20873).

Listing Description excerpt:
"Garden wall, gate piers and gates. C.1830. Pebble flint with gault brick and cast iron dressings. Cast iron plinth and coping with repeated winged floral finial. Two rectangular gate piers with gates. An example of the cast iron architectural detail of the early 19th-century Burnham Market foundry."
